Is Matchena a venue management system or booking program?
All three names describe the same category. Matchena is sports-venue management and booking software that brings courts, calendars, deposits, payments, staff, memberships and reports into one dashboard.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at EGP 1,000 a month for up to two courts, 2,000 for up to five and 3,500 for complexes. Gaming lounges start at EGP 300. Paying yearly costs 10 months for 12.
Is there a free trial? Do I need a card?
Yes: 15 days free with every feature, no card and no setup fee. Before it ends we agree terms with you, and nothing is ever charged automatically.
Is there AI in the system? What exactly does it do?
Yes. An AI assistant you talk to or type to in plain Arabic or English books, cancels and moves slots, records deposits, payments and expenses, blocks courts, and answers “who still owes me?” and “what did I make this week?”. Anything it does can be undone in one tap.
Can I keep working if the internet drops?
Yes. On the last saved calendar you can log new bookings, payments and attendance offline, and it all syncs when you are back online. Only the AI assistant needs a connection.
What about commission?
Commission is 10% (5% in Saudi Arabia and the UAE) only on bookings that come through the Matchena app, meaning new players we brought you. Walk-ins, phone bookings and your regulars pay zero.
Do I need hardware or software installed?
No. It runs in the browser or the app on any phone or computer. For printed receipts, any 58 or 80 mm thermal printer works.
Do players have to book through the app?
No. Log phone and walk-in bookings yourself in seconds and use the system just to stay organised. Online booking is a bonus, not a requirement.
What happens if my plan ends?
Nothing is locked. Your venue and data keep working while we remind you and agree the renewal with you.
Can I bring my old bookings and customers?
Yes, from an Excel or CSV file. On Business we do the move and the setup for you.
Does it work for padel and gaming, not just football?
Yes: five- and seven-a-side football, padel, tennis, squash, table tennis, PlayStation and billiards. A mixed venue runs from one account.
